Life?

Why am I here?

Am I the same as a dog, a cat, a bear or an ant?

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who

will believe in me through their message, that all of them

may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.

May they also be in us so that the world may believe that

you have sent me.”

You gave me a heart.

You gave me a soul.

You created me for more.

“I have given them the glory that you

gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them

and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity.

Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them

even as you have loved me.”

You sent someone special to tell me of your love.

You sent someone special to break all bonds.

You sent someone special so I can be in unity.

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,

and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved

me before the creation of the world."

You sent him to defeat the power of death.

You sent him because you love me.

You sent him because I am created in your image.

You sent him to overcome the world.

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you,

and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them,

and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me

may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

You created me to know your unfailing love.

You created me to be swept up into your arms.

When we confess with our mouths we can know you as Lord

When we believe in our hearts we can know you as Father.

Your wisdom is beyond understanding.

Your grace is beyond compare.

Your power is made perfect in our weakness.

“He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’

The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’

Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes

take the free gift of the water of life.”

For by your love you rose Christ from the dead! For by your love you offer us life!

He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!!
